Let's start this new week by adding some beauty to our lives. Read "The Little Paris Bookshop" by Nina George. I loved this book, it was like a balm for the soul. I hope that it captures your heart and imagination as much as it did mine. But isn't that the real magic of books? They open our minds, engage our imaginations, they lift us up and enrich our lives. I simply cannot say enough about the pure delight we can derive from a good book. Happy reading my dears.

{Nancy Meyers , You Genius}
One of the things I love about Nancy's films, how she makes the homes into characters themselves.
I really could just move in.

{ A Moveable Feast }
Stunning photography, gorgeous food and thoughtfully written. You only stumble upon treasures like these when you are not looking, perhaps when you need them most. Truly a pleasure to read, Local Milk will sweep you up in a visual and sensory feast.

{My Kind of Tiny}
Come down the walk to the house...
I realize, of course, that this is not a tiny house. But this is what I would like our tiny house to look like. It's the white siding with the blue shutters. Just heaven.
This would be our kitchen. Here I make tea and toast while listening to French music, trying not to spoil the cats with a saucer of cream. Sans the dog, sorry pup.
These little fellows will be in the garden, I'm putting last seasons honey in the tea. I find bees calming and cheerful.
The boudoir, something a la Rita Konig or maybe a bit spare. We shall see.
The salon, lots of books, natural light flooding in, and a lovely little fireplace.
The bath, I'd like to feel a little old world and classic. You can never go wrong with classic.
Again, I realize most of these rooms are not really tiny. But it is the spirit of how they feel that I'd like to translate into our little house.
